BMA – Berces-Ocampo, Mendoza and Associates is a general professional partnership of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), offering a full suite of services including audit, accounting, tax consultancy, and business advisory.

Since our founding in 1993, we have served both local companies and foreign firms with operations in the Philippines. Our office is located in Quezon City.

Maria Cristina Josefina B. Ocampo is the Managing Partner and is the moving force behind the growth and expansion of Berces-Ocampo, Mendoza and Associates. She has a degree of Bachelor in Accountancy from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and was consistently under the Bachelor in Accountancy Honor Section 2 until graduation. She earned her CPA license in 1986. Her first job is at Rubberworld Philippines (Adidas) as an internal auditor before moving to San Buenaventura & Co., CPAs as associate auditor. She finally joined Carlos J. Valdes & Co., CPAs until the time she had established her own Audit Firm in 1993.

She is the Past President of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Southern Metro Manila Chapter (SMMC) from 2018 to 2019, held various positions in Metro Manila Regional Council of PICPA and committee chair for Cooperative Development Committee as well as member of various National Committees of the National Office of PICPA. She is also a Past President of the Philippine Association of Management Accountants (PAMA), a professional organization for CFO, CFO and management accounting practitioners. She is also a member of Tax Management Association of the Philippines (TMAP). She is an active member of the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Commerce and Industry (ACPACI) and Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP).

She is also a Peer Evaluator of the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC). PCNC is the official accrediting body of the Philippines for foundations and other NGOs wishing to be accredited as a donee institution for purpose of exemption of donation donor’s tax.

She is also active in socio-civic organizations such as Rotary International (District 3780), Quezon City. She is Past President of Rotary Club of Batasan Hills in 2014-2015 and in 2023-2024.

She also served as Internal Audit Head from 2007 to 2017 of CLC Group of Companies, a furniture manufacturing company based in Quezon City posting consistently billion-peso annual revenues.

Her background and client industry includes manufacturing companies and those operating within special economic zones, hotels and restaurants, sports and membership clubs, construction and development, real estate and condominium, non-profit organizations and associations, educational institutions, financing companies, cooperative, architecture, management companies and consultancy, legal and medical, stock brokerage, merchandising and service companies. Her client profile is 30% multi-national companies and 70% Filipino-owned.

She is also a Commissioned Independent CPA (ICPA) of the Court of Tax Appeals since 2012, tackling independent expert review of tax cases brought to the Court.

Josefina F. Mendoza holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting, from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an active member of both the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP).

Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors of Ascent Knowledge Resources, Inc., a laboratory company specializing in food and allied industries, located in Balete Drive Ext., Quezon City. Previously, she held the position of Treasury Head at Emilio Aguinaldo College Medical Center in Dasmarinas, Cavite.

Josefina has also worked as a Senior Auditor at All Asian Countertrade, Inc., a sugar trading firm with multiple subsidiaries involved in food products. She began her career as an Internal Auditor at Medical Center Manila in Ermita, Manila.

Her experience spans a variety of industries, including manufacturing, stock brokerage, merchandising, sports clubs, trading, cooperatives, and service companies.
